Embrace

Vampire embracing his mesmerized prey and about to bite her neck to feed.

When I was mechanically constructing the artwork I cast the vampire's shadow with wings and everything, then I remembered that vampires don't cast shadows, so I left the girl's shadow leaning on thin air, which is quite fascinating. What was not fascinating was the vampire's fingers casting no shadow against the girl's skin and his foot having no cast shadow line to properly connect him with the floor. It was just ugly so I chose to leave cast shadows under fingers and foot.
